Now that my project about Tuscany over the seasons is over, I have decided to start a new project: Tuscany through my eyes. Well, more or less… I am planning on publishing one or more photos of Tuscany every week, and not just some beautiful photos, but images that “match” the way I see my beautiful region at that time of the year. I will publish photos that I have taken and photos that I have not taken but I wish I had! 52 posts to show you Tuscany the way I see it and feel it. Here are the other posts in the series.
Week 23 – The green countryside
Just a quick post this week. May is my favourite month of the year, mostly for its colours and its weather. The countryside is bright green, with lots of flowers and it is warm outside but yet not hot. The most pleasant time of the year.
The weather can still be a bit crazy in early May, like today. We gathered to celebrate my dad’s birthday with a bbq and we had to eat indoors because of a sudden storm!
If you are allergic to bug bites, this is the season to be careful in the countryside: sage, rosemary and the other aromatic herbs are in bloom, and so are roses and many other garden plants. So the fields are full of bees! They won’t bother you if you don’t bother them though!
Of course flowers will also attract nice “guests” like this pretty butterfly!
