Now that my project about Tuscany over the seasons is over, I have decided to start a new project: Tuscany through my eyes. Well, more or less… I am planning on publishing one or more photos of Tuscany every week, and not just some beautiful photos, but images that “match” the way I see my beautiful region at that time of the year. I will publish photos that I have taken and photos that I have not taken but I wish I had! 52 posts to show you Tuscany the way I see it and feel it. Here are the other posts in the series.
Week 50 – The olive oil festival in my village
I have already written about the importance of olive oil in the history of my village. Over the past few years, the village association has started to organize a proper festival dedicated to the most typical of the local products.
The festival has been growing every year, and this year it was really great. Too bad the weather did not help. It was very rainy and some of the stalls in the street market had to close before most people could see them.
But the festival was lovely nonetheless and the food was incredible as usual.
I will write a proper post about the festival really soon, with more shots from the weekend. In the meanwhile, should you be interested in visiting the village during the olive oil festival, please keep an eye on the offers on our vacation rental home website.
