Passports with Purpose is a charity founded in 2008 by four women travel bloggers. Since then, every year, they have organized a fundraising event to support some worth cause in countries in need of help.
This year’s goal is to raise 100,000 dollars to fund a project to build wells in Haiti to provide the locals with clean drinking water.
Travel bloggers participate by getting people they know to donate prizes and promoting that prize on their blog. Anyone can enter this “sweepstakes” with a 10$ (USD) entry and can bid multiple times on multiple prizes. All that money goes to charity, and you have a great chance of winning in the random prize draw.
When Alexandra of Arttrav told us about this initiative and asked if we wanted to participate, we thought it was a great idea and offered a few nights at our Pisa vacation rental apartment, Behind the Tower, as a prize. You can read about it on her blog.
We are very thankful that Alexandra partnered with us and we hope that the prize we offered will attract many donations!
If you want to participate, just go to this page. It is very simple: all you have to do is choose one or more prizes that you’d like to win in the random draw and enter 1 for each entry (one entry equals one 10 dollar donation). When you are finished, scroll to the bottom of the page, enter your email address and click donate. You’ll be taken to PayPal where you can pay using a debit or credit card (you do not need a PayPal account). Please note that your address will only be used to notify you if you are one of the winners and will not be sold to any third party.
Please participate if there is anything you might like (there are seriously great prizes!), but hurry because the fundraiser ends on December 11!
Thank you!
